Without further ado, here are some brand new pics of the Final FOXHOUND prototype! Not to worry, we haven't changed the colour of the coat while you weren't looking! ;) We used a sample fabric in a dark blue since it was on hand.

Note the improvements to the shoulder pads, the collar, and the sleeve, as you helpfully pointed out in our previous FOXHOUND blog posts. Click on any of the pictures above to see the larger versions!

Start saving now because this coat with be available for pre-order before you know it! It will be available in a range of set-sizes, but of course, some sizes sell out faster than others so it's best to reserve your as early as possible.
As an added bonus, we've found a brown fabric for the final FOXHOUND Coat that is water-resistant, so it's even more wearable in various weather conditions. We had many e-mails from fans saying that they would like to take their FOXHOUND Coat out "in the field" so we listened! AbbyShot always listens ;)
We're aching to release this coat and we're sure you can't wait to wear it - we're so glad that the wait is almost over! We'll update you next month as soon as this coat is ready to pre-order!

Ha, even when you're just providing a prototype you give a great one. The fabric actually doesn't look bad at all.
One question I have though is about the shoulder-pads. More specifically, how will they handle washing and drying? I AM glad you've decided to not make the pads look like wings coming off the side of the coat though. haha. Though I guess I could just say I was from the Airforce.(Airlplane pun) Really though, the pads were one of my main concerns since the days where all you had were those sketches of it. I was wondering whether you'd be able to balance them between awesome Metal Gear and something wearable in public. And ya didn't disappoint me.
It's also kind of funny how that coat(with its color)somewhat reminds me of a real military trench coat I got at a surplus store as a stand-in for a REAL FOXHOUND trench. Come MAY(or to be more specific, April,) I don't think that'll be a problem anymore.
I look forward to taking one of the awesome FOXHOUND coats off of your capable hands and testing it out in my own field. And something tells me it won't be resigning from active duty for a long, long, LONG time.(Had enough of the Military puns yet? heh)
How much for the blue one? =P
But to be honest, I'm hoping there will, at some point, be a black option. Black goes with everything, after all.
Thanks for the great comments guys!
To Shinigami:
The blue did turn out pretty good, didn't it?
Regarding washing for this coat (and for any of our coats really) we recommend "Dry Clean Only".
We're so happy that no more stand-ins are necessary for you! The FOXHOUND Coat will soon be reporting for duty! ;)
To Alex:
I can't say quite yet if there will be a black fabric option, but we'll definitely consider it.
Have a great weekend!
I have a BIG dillema seeing this coat.
It is taken from 2 of the greatest games I LOVE from now : Metal Gear Solid.
The prototype looked PERFECT and what do you do at Abbyshot ?
You made it BETTER ! And you tell us now that it will be water-resistant !!!
So here is my dillema : the 2nd game I LOVE is Devil May Cry 4. And I know from Marc that you are considering to do the dante's coat from that game.
So what can I do ?
Wait until you know if you will do it or not ? Or buy the two of them ?
Please tell us that you are planning a dante's coat for the end of 2009 and I buy you a FoxHound coat right now !
(well... when the coat become online ;-)
It's a fair deal ?! :-)
