Blast that AbbyShot crowd! I thought I had it all worked out. A couple of them were away from the office and a couple of others had meetings in-house... but away from the files. I thought for sure it would be my opportunity to get some juicy intel to share with you. Instead, however, the files I needed were put under lock and key. So I had nothing to report....until now. I lost a bit of shut-eye but managed to grab a night-time shot with one of my hidden cameras.

Now I believe that this is another angle on the same garment that I photographed last week, but I'm not 100% sure. It's hard navigating a spy-cam at night... in the movies, of course, they make it look so easy. What could this be?

I'm still keeping a close eye on your speculation on Facebook, Twitter, and of course - here on the Blog.

Stay vigilant, friends. Now I'm off for a rest.

Yours,
Eon

Customer E-mails: January 2011 Edition

Welcome to 2011, AbbyShot fans!

It may be a new year but some things never change: Our customers always have (and always will) rock! The photos and emails you send us every month never cease to amaze, entertain, and thrill us and we love sharing the excitement here on the blog. It seems like you, our faithful readers, are enjoying these posts too - three out of five of the Top AbbyShot Blog Posts of 2010 were monthly Customer E-mails posts. So thanks for 'voting with your clicks' in 2010 and we'll keep these posts coming in 2011!

So without further ado: On to the photos!

Our first photo of 2011 comes from a Kingdom Hoodie customer who has become a good friend of ours on the AbbyShot Twitter account (another great place to connect with AbbyShot *hint, hint* ;).

Name: Choerilos.
Location: The Netherlands.
Rating: Awesome.

Hey AbbyShot,

Received my Kingdom Hoodie yesterday. While I'm not that into clothing or fashion as a whole, this thing is awesomeness turned physical. As soon as you open the package you can feel the amazing quality of the hoodie, great stuff. It fits perfectly too.

Shipping also went fast and perfect, I've had problems with shipping things before, but no such issues here. Will definitely buy from AbbyShot again. If anyone has any doubts buying one, they shouldn't. Awesomeness all around, rock on AbbyShot!

Your Dutch fan,
Martijn AKA Choerilos
The Netherlands

Next up is Harry from our home country of Canada with an awesome e-mail/photo 'one-two-punch'! He took his Tenth Doctor's Coat out in the snow for his own Doctor Who Christmas Special (I'm sure it's no surprise to anyone that Canada has plenty of snow this time of year! ;) Now on to his email...

Hey AbbyShot Team,

I wanted to let you guys know how much I liked the coat!

AbbyShot answered my questions about size, and warmth promptly.

I had some trouble at first choosing the right size, originally ordering an Extra Large which was too big. AbbyShot exchanged sizes within a few days and I found that the Large fit me best. AbbyShot builds the coats with enough roominess to wear a suit underneath, and that extra space was all I needed.

The inside pockets are huge and great for hiding Time Lord stuff. The coat is nice and heavy and moves beautifully. It definitely keeps me warm on cold days. I found I could not wear it inside for too long without getting really warm. Since arriving just in time for Christmas I have retired my other coats and have only been wearing this one.

There is some magical aura that you get when you throw on the coat, like you know you’re off on an adventure.

I am super satisfied with the service, quality and product, you’ve really made an awesome coat.

Thanks AbbyShot,

Harry T.
Canada

Thanks for the great photos and reviews, Martijn and Harry! What a perfect way to start off 2011. You want to know what excites us at the beginning of this year? Before the year is out we'll be showing you photos of customers in coats you don't even KNOW about yet...

There's a fun year ahead, all!

Don't ask me how, but I managed to get a quick photo of a product in development, for I fear the staff are reading my posts to you. Let's just say I had to use my head on how best to get around them. Unfortunately I wasn't able to use my flash, for fear of being caught red handed, but I did get quite close for a detailed shot...too bad it was random and from a strange location.

I know that you have been commenting with various theories, so perhaps this one will add to the speculation. I wasn't able to view the file on the product, but I have some ideas. Stay tuned. Next week I hope I will be able to see more to figure out what it is they are working on.

In the meantime, don't be afraid to share your speculations with me on our blog, Twitter or Facebook. It's not "just" a zipper. I may have a better idea of where to look for clues that way.

Yours,

Eon

New Custom Option for Jenova Trench: Hidden Outside Pockets!

Your friends will say: "It's magic!"

Or maybe they're Final Fantasy fans and they'll say: "Sephiroth's coat didn't have outside pockets!" :D

Either way: It's your custom Jenova Trench Coat so if you want hidden outside pockets - you got 'em!

Yes indeed, the Jenova Trench Custom has a brand new option and this one came directly out of a recent customer e-mail. We received an inquiry asking if we could add outside pockets to the Jenova design and we thought: "Hey, that could work!" We already make hidden side seam pockets for the Lobby Trench design so we thought, why not make it an option for the custom-fitted Jenova too? It's only an extra $26.00 to add these new outside pockets.

Just check the "Features" Tab on the Jenova Trench Custom page to see all the special options for this coolest of black trench coats!

The Wednesday Uplink - In With AbbyShot?

Well. I've already been spying on their headquarters, then I invade their Christmas Party, and now they're starting to link to my posts? Could I be getting in the good graces of AbbyShot? And how did I manage that?

You see, I've been keeping a close eye on the AbbyShot Facebook Page recently and I nearly busted my keyboard when I saw that they linked to one of my Wednesday Uplinks! Now I'm not going to tell you which ONE, that would take the fun out of it. But trust me, my post is linked on the page in black and white (well, blue and white, it is a link after all). Interesting development.

I also noticed that they VERY recently asked an intriguing question on a photo uploaded to their Facebook Fan page. So I'm absolutely wondering if that means anything. Once again, you'll have to discover this question for yourself.

I feel like I'm sending you off on a scavenger hunt, this is fun. Almost as fun as AbbyShot's Christmas Party(!)

Let me know if you find those 2 Facebook clues...

Yours,
Eon

Browncoats Unite! Redemption Fan Film Needs Your Help!

"We have done the impossible. And that makes us mighty."
-Malcolm Reynolds, Firefly

Well, Firefly and Serenity fans, it's time once again to "do the impossible" and unite for a great cause. Yet again the odds are stacked against us as we're taking on a Twitter phenomenon by the feared name of: Bieber!

The team behind the fan film "Browncoats: Redemption" (which AbbyShot reviewed back in September) are nominated for a Shorty Award in the #charity category for their excellent work on Twitter. We really can't think of a more deserving team. These are true fans of the Serenity 'Verse who pulled together to create, market, and promote a fan film with ALL profits going to charity.

Their competition in the #charity category includes MANY "Justin Bieber" related Twitter feeds so the competition will be fierce! But hey, Browncoats are used to fighting against ALL odds so let's not sweat it!

All the info on how to vote through Twitter is on the @browncoatsmovie Shorty Awards Page here: http://shortyawards.com/browncoatsmovie

Spread the word!

I'm not quite sure who spiked the punch over the holidays, but the AbbyShot crew are certainly bustling about. It makes it difficult to sneak a peek into THE product development folders, I must say.

Thank you to those who tried to imagine what's in those folders (along with me!) last month. I know it was difficult, but SOME of you are amazingly clairvoyant.

AbbyShot's first product development meeting of 2011 is tomorrow, so I haven't much to report as of yet. I will try to listen in of course, so wish me luck! I DID manage to see a flash of red this week so my mind has been whirling. Sorry I can't say more than that for now...

As always I am interested in hearing your comments in the blog, Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Yours,
Eon

Happy New Year (and New Who)!

Happy New Year AbbyShot fans!

The team has returned to work today all refreshed and reinvigorated, and a great geek-out moment from the holidays certainly didn't hurt! After the (fantastic) Doctor Who Christmas Special of course the BBC included a trailer for the upcoming Series 6. And WOW does it ever look good!

The trailer is below for your viewing pleasure; one of many reasons that 2011 is going to be a great year! And of course, let us know what you think of the trailer in the comments below. "Stetsons are cool," indeed...
